Český Krumlov: 77 km from Červená Lhota

Český Krumlov, and especially its Old Town situated on the banks of the Vltava river, is a true gem showing the beauty of medieval architecture in the south of Bohemia. Its location close to German and Austrian borders always made the city a cosmopolitan center with people speaking Czech and German. The town thrived under the Rožmberks and it is the town’s historic center which has preserved the architectural heritage of this flourishing era. Homogenous and intact, these two qualities attributed to the center altogether with preserved traditions still project into cultural and social lives of the town. There are many things attractive enough to draw thousands of curious and enchanted tourists and explorers.  Places of interest include many romantic, intact and beautiful natural landscapes which lie in proximity to traditional royal seats, castles, chateaus, and typical countryside settlements. Since 1992, Český Krumlov has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
